Absolut Sensing (GESat)

Gen1 would test a cryogenic sensor to detect local releases of methane at a threshold of about 50 kilograms per hour.

• The first of a three-phases process, an initial constellation of 12 satellites dedicated to the precise measurement of methane (CH4) emissions will be launched by 2025.
• This will be followed by the launch of 6 carbon dioxide (CO2) and 6 nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions measuring satellites in 2026 and 2027, respectively, to complete the 24 satellites constellation.

Absolut Sensing provides environmental intelligence, geo-intelligence and planetary intelligence services.

Absolut Sensing develops miniaturized and cooled hyperspectral instruments, compatible with standard Cubesat 12U platforms.
Absolut Sensing is working on the implementation of a methane detection satellite constellation to meet the actual climate change. At the same time, we are working on the development of remote sensing instrumentation for other use cases in the hyperspectral domain.
GESat is a satellite constellation whose objective is to measure industrial pollution to provide a reliable and accurate global measurement system of methane emissions on industrial sites.
